Kimi Raikkonen Wins 2008 Malaysian GP

Kimi Raikkonen won today’s Grand Prix of Malaysia after his teammate Felipe Massa clipped a curb and spun off into the gravel on the 31st lap. Prior to this incident Massa had looked unstoppable, easily leading the field away from the pole and building up a comfortable cushion before Raikkonen got the better of him during their first pit stops.

Despite threats of rain throughout qualifying and the race itself the weather cooperated and stayed away until after the event was over. This and, perhaps, some more experience of cars without electronic driver aids made this weekend much less of a crashfest than last week’s shambles in Australia.
